Prime consultant
We act as the prime consultant for your project, leading the design team and coordinating all engineering disciplines so that the project advances as one cohesive effort.
Engineering expertise you can rely on
United Project Consultants is a group of professional engineers. We serve as prime consultant, manage project schedules, review shop drawings, support contractors, administer construction contracts and perform playground inspections in accordance with CSA Z614.
Who we are
A team of licensed professional engineers supporting owners, designers and contractors from initial design through to final inspection.
As prime consultant, we coordinate all engineering disciplines and maintain clear communication among every party involved in the project.
In the field and in the office, we review the work, support the contractors delivering it and manage the schedule, so that decisions are made on time and properly documented.
We also perform playground inspections in accordance with CSA Z614, the Canadian standard for children's playspaces and equipment.

Planning and control

Pre-construction
Shop drawing review
We review contractor and supplier shop drawings against the design intent and specifications, so that issues are identified and resolved before they reach the site.

During construction
Contractor support
We respond to technical questions, clarify design intent and help contractors resolve issues promptly, so that work continues without delay.

Construction and closeout
Contract administration
We administer the construction contract on your behalf, including reviewing payment applications, assessing change orders, issuing site instructions and tracking deficiencies through to project closeout.

Inspection
Playground inspections (CSA Z614)
Our engineers inspect playgrounds in accordance with CSA Z614 and report clearly on which elements comply with the standard and which require attention.
